BROWNIE CAKE DELIGHT

Nothing says spring is here like fresh strawberries!  Here's a great, easy recipe your family will love.

1 pkg. fudge brownie mix
1/3 cup strawberry all fruit spread
2 cups thawed nondairy whipped topping
1/4 tsp. almond extract
2 cups of halved fresh strawberries
1/4 cup chocolate sauce

Preheat oven according to directions on package of brownie mix.  Prepare brownies according to package directions, substituting 11 x 7 baking pan.  Cool completely in pan.  Whisk fruit spread in small bowl until smooth.  Combine whipped topping and almond extract in bowl.  Cut brownie in half horizontally, place half on serving dish.  Spread with fruit spread and 1 cup whipped topping.  Place second half of brownie, cut side down, on top.  Place remainder of whipped topping on top.  Layer with halved strawberries.  Drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.  YUM!

TIP:  I like to get the package of brownie mix that makes enough for a 13 x 9 pan, then use this recipe but only put the fruit spread,  whipped topping and sliced strawberries on the top - whenever I try to do the horizontal cuts I usually end up with a mess!
