I can't believe I never thought of this before! The box of my Swiffer
cloths from the store says they are 11 1/2 x 8 inches. I made my cloth 13 x 10 to allow for possible shrinking when
I wash and dry it, plus it will make it stay on the Swiffer mop better when scrubbing hard. My mop is the Swiffer
brand, so if you have a different brand check the size and make sure it will fit. The pattern is easily adjustable
however, just keep your measuring tape handy while crocheting. I made two different colors, one for dry mopping and
one for wet mopping. I mop with the vinegar Swiffer cloths anyway, so I just mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle
and spray the cloth to mop with. This is also a great scrap yarn project, since it doesn't matter how pretty this is
you can use up your scraps and change colors whenever you run out!
Small amount of worsted weight cotton kitchen yarn (so you don't get "fuzzies" on
your floor from acrylic yarn).
Size H hook
Chain 43.
ROW 1: Single crochet in second chain from hook and each chain across.
Chain 1, turn. 42 single crochets made.
ROWS 2-38: Repeat row 1. Measure and make sure this makes the cloth the
size you need, if you crocheter tigher or looser than I do you may need to adjust the size.
