GRAB AND GO CASSEROLE CARRIER
Two shades of worsted weight yarn - MC (main color) and CC (contrasting color)
Size I crochet hook
Some type of cording - I used a spool of holiday cording purchased at Walmart
Join with a sl (slip) stitch at the end of each round. Do not turn.
Row 1: With MC, chain 3, join with a slip stitch at the end. Chain 2.
Row 2: 2 DC in each chain around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2. .
Row 3: 2 DC in each stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2.
Row 4: 2 DC in each stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2.
Row 5-7: 1 DC in first stitch, 2 in next stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2. .
Row 6: 1 DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next stitch, 2 DC in next stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2.
Row 7-8: 1 DC in each of first 3 stitches, 2 DC in next stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2
Row 9 1 DC in each of first 4 stitches, 2 DC in next stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2.
Row 10: 1 DC in each stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2.
Row 11: IN BACK LOOPS ONLY - 1 DC in each stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2. This is where you'll weave your
cording through for the handles.
Row 12: 1 DC in each stitch around. Join with sl stitch. Chain 2. Fasten off.Row 13 - EDGING: With CC join with a slip
stitch in any stitch. Chain 2. 1 DC in next stitch, 2 DC in next stitch around. Join with a sl stitch. Chain 2.
Row 14: 1 DC in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch. Fasten off.
Weave cording through the unused front loops on row 11. Space them evenly - I think I ran it through every 20th or 21st
stitch. Tie with the ends together with a bow. Now with your carrier laying flat on a table, pull the cording through so that
all the "loops" that will make the handles are approximately the same length. Place your casserole dish in the middle, grab
up all the handles and you're ready to go!
