THIS IS MY OWN ORIGINAL PATTERN

FRINGED FLEECE SCARF

I just love fleece - it's easy to care for - machine wash and tumble dry - it isn't expensive, comes in a HUGE variety of colors and patterns, it never ravels, it isn't heavy but it's VERY warm.  One word of caution - once you get used to wearing a scarf you'll find your neck gets quite cold without one!

2/3 yard fleece - any print or solid of your choice

What makes this scarf different from the others is, you don't fringe the ends like the "usual" ones.  You leave the ends completely alone and fringe BOTH sides instead.

Using sharp scissors, fringe BOTH sides of fleece making fringe about 1/4 inch wide and 5-6 inches long.  The longer, thinner cut fringe gives this scarf it's 'fluffier" look.  You may want to actually mark your fleece 5-6 inches from the edge on each side with chalk or washable marker so you'll make the cuts evenly.  You can also mark every 1-2 inches along the ends so you can make 4-8 strips between each mark to get the 1/4 inch width to your strips fairly even as well.  You don't even have to tie this fringe, just cut it and that's it!  You're done in MINUTES and I get compliments every time I wear mine.
