FLEECE EAR MUFFS
One pair of store bought ear muffs
Two scraps of fleece large enough to go around each ear piece of ear muffs
Two elastic ponytail holders
Small amount of coordinating yarn
Size G crochet hook
Ice pick or other tool for making holes in fleece
I used two scraps of the puppy patterned fleece I used for my fringed fleece
scarf - I hard actually bought a yard of the fleece instead of 2/3 yard. This left me enough for the more "traditional"
style scarf that's fringed on the ends, plus I cut two pieces off the ends big enough for my ear muffs. Make holes every
1/4 to 1/3 inch around the fleece squares. Using the G hook, make 2 single crochets in each hole all the way around
the fleece, fasten off. MAKE SURE YOU COUNT HOW MANY STITCHES YOU HAVE MADE. Using the same yarn, attach
yarn with slip stitch to pony tail holder and make 1/2 as many stitches around pony tail holder as you made in the fleece,
fasten off. Attach pony tail holder to fleece square using either single crochet or slip stitch, attaching 2 stitches
from fleece to every 1 stitch on the pony tail holder. Fasten off, weave in ends. Now slip fleece over ear piece
of ear muffs and voila - they match your scarf! Make as many of these as you want to match your scarves or jackets.
