Two yards of fleece - your choice of pattern
Small amount of coordinating yarn
Size G crochet hook
Ice pick or other tool to make holes in fleece
Lay your fleece out on a flat surface - I use my pool table! On the LONG side - the
2 yards long side - mark the middle of your fleece with a safety pin. This should be at 36 inches. Fold each end
of the fleece inward to the safety pin, making sure the edges are straight and come together. Cut fleece straight across
the bottom, both layers of fleece, to the desired length of your cape. I just cut mine straight across at
the length that the folds came together, and it's pretty long.
With your ice pick make holes all the way around all sides of your fleece about every 1/4
inch or so. With your yarn and your G hook, make 2 single crochets in each hole all the way around. At the end
that will be the neck of your cape, chain about 30, then SC back to edge of fleece. Do the same on the other side of the neck.
This makes your ties. Fasten off and weave in ends. Voila - gorgeous cape in about 2 hours!
I bought this gorgeous snowflake fleece at JoAnns. I'm not sure if they have it on their
website or not. I used the light blue Christmas yarn that has the small strand of silver glitter running through it.
